Jason Stephenson was named the Director of Media Production in the summer of 2016 and oversees all technical production of events, broadcast, and creative services for athletics, as well as the production of university events taking place in the Fowler Events Center. These events include seasonal commencement ceremonies, weekly chapel, Lancer Madness, major concerts, and external events as well. Jason was hired a year before the completion of the CBU Events Center and was pivotal in the planning, development, and integration of systems that make the Fowler Events Center one of the premier venues in the Inland Empire.

In 2023, he was promoted to his current position as the Assistant Athletic Director for Media Production & Creative Services.

Prior to his time at CBU, Stephenson was the Production Manager at Bethel Church in Richland, Wash. There he managed a large team of staff and volunteers to create a seamless and engaging worship experience across multiple campuses. Jason also oversaw the construction of a new stage, new video/broadcast control room, as well as the implementation of seasonal lighting/set design projects.

Stephenson has engineered sound for many large-scale live concert and theatrical productions as well as studio albums. Over the years he has also directed, produced, edited tons of video content and promotional material for various organizations.

In 2006, Stephenson graduated from Azusa Pacific with a BA in commercial music. He and his wife, Denise, have two daughters and reside in Riverside. In his free time Jason enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, snowboarding and watching football.
