Aidan Apodaca joined the CBU men's soccer staff in June 2024.Apodaca is making his debut into coaching after spending six years playing professionally across the United State and a historic four year career at CBU from 2014-2017.

During his time as a player for CBU, the Lancers built a record of 43-26-5 (61.5%), capped by the magical 17-1-2 season of 2017. In his senior season that year, Aidan netted 29 goals, assisted on four more, and totaled 62 points. He was the NCAA Division II Statistical Champion for goals, points, goals per game, and points per game that season as he was named the 2017 PacWest Player of the Year and became CBU's first-ever NCAA National Player of the Year.

Apodaca became the Lancers first-ever pick in the 2018 MLS Superdraft, taken #55 by the Philadelphia Union. He appeared in 101 contests over six years for five different clubs, scoring a total of 17 goals. In 2021, while on loan to Orange County FC, Apodaca helped the club win it's first ever USL Championship.

In February 2025, Aidan was inducted into the CBU Athletics Hall of Fame as just the third men's soccer player ever.
