Ron Samson begins his third year as an assistant athletic trainer at California Baptist University. Samson works directly with women’s soccer, wrestling and baseball.

A 2000 graduate of Long Beach State, Samson spent four seasons as the head athletic trainer at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas, overseeing eight NJCAA Division I athletic teams. While there, he helped design and oversee the construction of the school’s brand new athletic training facility.

From 2000-03, Samson served as a physical therapy aide at Wilcox Physical Therapy in Anaheim, Calif.

Samson earned his bachelor’s in athletic training in 2000 from Long Beach State and completed his master’s of education in health and kinesiology in 2005 from the University of Texas-Tyler. He has his NATABOC certification and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Samson and his wife, Monica, have two kids, Matthew and Isabella. The Samsons live in La Puente, Calif.
