CBU heads the Top-10 list for the calendar year of 2011, beating out both Azusa Pacific (No. 2) and Fresno Pacific (No. 3).
Over the course of 2011 Lancer athletic programs claimed six national titles at both the NAIA and NCCAA levels. CBU won NAIA titles in women's swimming and diving, and women's golf during the winter and spring of 2011. The Lancers then claimed four NCCAA titles this past fall in men's golf, women's soccer, men's soccer and women's volleyball. CBU also had runner up finishes at the NAIA Softball National Tournament and the NCCAA Women's Cross Country Championship.
CBU's three GSAC titles at the end of last season in women's basketball (tournament championship), softball and baseball were noted, as well as the Lancers' continued success in NCAA Division II with four PacWest conference championships this year in men's and women's cross country and men's and women's soccer.
Sports Spectrum is a national publication that has been featuring Christian athletes for 15 years. The magazine seeks to, "highlight Christian athletes of all sports and levels to help motivate, encourage and inspire people in their faith through the exciting and challenging world of sports."
