RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- California Baptist University has three student athletes nominated in the latest The Press-Enterprise Performer of the Week Poll, for their play April 18-24.

Ryan Douglass, a junior from Corona Centennial, was 5-for-10 with 5 RBI to lead No. 4 CBU to two nonconference wins last week up in the Bay Area. Emma Holden, a junior pitcher from San Carlos, broke two records and secured the No. 1 Lancers' eighth straight Golden State Athletic Conference title with a complete game, two-hit 5-0 shutout of Vanguard. Holden struck out 10, becoming the school's career (607) and single-season (251) all-time strikeout leader. Holden is third in the NAIA with a 0.74 ERA and second in wins with a 27-1 record.

Leonard Rooney, a freshman golfer from Jarna, Sweden, led the unranked Lancers to a fourth place finish at the Cascade/GSAC/CalPac Qualifying tournament, shooting a 222 to finish tied for ninth individually. It was the freshman from Sweden's first career Top 10 finish. The Lancers were the only unranked team to finish in the Top 4.
