RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- California Baptist University's Kylee Nicassio was voted as The Press-Enterprise Performer of the Week. She becomes the second Lancer in as many weeks to win the award as cross country's Sergio Rodriguez won it last week.
Nicassio garnered 27.08 percent of the vote, getting 104 out of 384 total votes. She scored two goals on No. 7 Martin Methodist providing all the Lancers’ offense in one of two wins for the women’s soccer program over top-10 opponents last week.
Jelena Dragovic and Tiburcio Casillas were also nominated based on their performances last week.
Dragovic had a .512 hitting percentage with 25 kills and 10 blocks to help the Lancer women’s volleyball team improve to 17-0 with three victories last week. Casillas became the third men’s soccer player in program history to score four goals in a game during a 5-0 rout of UC Santa Cruz.
