Dana Olsen was named to the NAIA All-American second team and V.V. Vasciunaite was named to the third team.
Olsen led No. 5 California Baptist University in scoring on the season averaging 18.4 points per game. Her 18.4 points per game is the sixth best single-season average in CBU history and her .583 field goal percentage is fourth best.
In her first and only season with the Lancers, Olsen was named All-GSAC. In conference play the Lancers’ star post player led the GSAC in scoring and field goal percentage.
Vasciunaite was also named to the All-GSAC team in her first season at CBU and was third overall in scoring in the conference with 16.5 points per game.
The junior from Vilnius, Lithuania set a CBU record for 3-pointers in a season with 107, shattering the previous record of 87. Her 107 threes were the third highest total in the NAIA and her 3.07 3-pointers per game were seventh best.
Olsen and Vasciunaite combined on a team that matched the program records for wins in a season, going 27-8 and led CBU to its first NAIA National Tournament since 1982, and first win at the national tournament ever. The Lancers also set a CBU record with 16 GSAC victories and won the conference postseason tournament for the first time in school history.
