RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Dana Olsen earned her second Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week award Monday, after helping No. 5 California Baptist University finish a 9-1 first half of conference play.
It is the senior forward's second such award in just four weeks in a Lancer uniform.
Olsen helped lead CBU to two wins last week, topping the team in scoring with 48 points, shooting 14-for-27 (.519) from the field, to go along with 12 rebounds. She scored 20 of her 48 points from the free throw line, shooting 20-for-24 (.833) to help the Lancers preserve late leads in both games.
In a 91-79 overtime win over Concordia, she had 22 points and 7 rebounds. Against Fresno Pacific, Olsen had 26 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
Olsen now leads the team in scoring with 19.9 points per game. CBU is 16-4 overall on the season, 9-1 GSAC, and has moved into the Top 5 of the NAIA Women's Division I Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll for the first time in program history. The Lancers currently sit alone atop the GSAC standings.
