RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Ingrid Carmona was named GSAC Player of the Week Monday, garnering her second weekly conference award this season.
Carmona led the sixth-ranked Lancers to two conference victories, including one over No. 3 Biola.
In two matches Carmona recorded 45 kills and 31 digs, leading the team in both categories over that span. Her .320 hitting percentage, 5.63 kills per set and 3.88 digs per set were all above her season averages. The sophomore opposite hitter also added four service aces to her impressive stat sheet for the week.
In a win at Vanguard, she had 22 kills and 15 digs and in the win over No. 3 Biola, Carmona tallied 23 kills, 16 digs and 3 aces.
Carmona is the first Lancer since 2007 to earn multiple GSAC Player of the Week awards. She earned her first career weekly honor back on Oct. 11.
On the season Carmona leads the Lancers with 400 kills (4.3 kps), is third on the team with 241 digs (2.59 dps) and has quietly climbed up the list to third in service aces with 24.
