RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) released its National Players of the Week and California Baptist University's Ingrid Carmona took home the women's volleyball honor.
Carmona led the Lancers to a 3-1 record at the Route 92 Showdown in Northern California, earning All-Tournament honors in the process.
The senior outside hitter notched a double-double in every match, tallying a total of 80 kills and 56 digs. She posted a season-best 25 kill, 21 dig match against San Francisco State to highlight the tournament.
Carmona leads the Lancers with 125 kills (4.46 per set) so far this season and has already been tabbed the PacWest's Preseason Player of the Year.
CBU is in action tonight at Azusa Pacific in both team's conference openers.
