RIVERSIDE --- After hitting .545 and leading the Lancers to a four-game series sweep of Hawai'i-Hilo, senior Kevin Odom has been awarded his third Pacific West Conference player of the week award of the 2012 season.

His previous two awards came at the beginning and end of February.

Odom won the award for games played March 26-April 1. During that span, he was 6-for-11 and scored seven runs. He also drove in another five, with two extra base hits.

He is currently second on the team in runs scored, doubles, walks and lead in hit by pitches. He also ranks in the top five in home runs, RBI, total bases, walks and steals.

California Baptist University is currently 29-6 overall and in first place in the PacWest at 24-4. The Lancers are also ranked No. 13 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 poll.

They host Concordia April 5-6 and Cal State San Marcos April 7 in a trio of non-conference games this week.
