The win is the Lancers' fifth straight as they improve to 26-6 overall, 21-4 PacWest.
The Vulcans fall to 6-24, 3-18.
Kevin Odom was 3-for-3, reached base safely in all five of his plate appearances, scored four times, had two RBIs and homered for the second time in three games.
Odom doubled and scored in the first, hit a two-run homer in the second to give the Lancers a 5-0 lead, singled in the fifth, walked and scored in the Lancers' seven-run seventh and was hit by a pitch, stole second and scored in the Lancers' five-run eighth.
He was one of four players with three hits. Matt Daugherty singled and scored three times to extend his hitting streak to 18 straight games. Zach Esquerra was 3-for-4, and Cole Bullard was 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI singles in the seventh and eighth.
David Herd (2-0) made his second career start and allowed two runs in seven innings. He walked three and struck out three.
Hawaii-Hilo got within 5-2 heading to the bottom of the seventh when the Lancers took complete control with five hits and five runs in the bottom of the seventh. Bullard, Daugherty and Matt Marnati all had RBI singles in the frame.
Blair Moore had an RBI triple in the eighth to reach base safely for the 30th straight game. He scored on an RBI single by Andy Crowley, who finished with two hits, two runs and three RBIs.
The Lancers finished with 18 hits. Luke Esquerra was 2-for-5 with two runs.
