The win is the Lancers' 11th in the past 13 games as they improve to 37-11 overall. The Gators drop to 13-28.
The Lancers scored three in the first spearheaded by three straight one-out singles and then added four more in the third with three straight hits to open the inning and a one-out, two-RBI double by Ryan Douglass.
Thirteen of the Lancers' 15 hits were singles against five different Gator pitchers.
Madrigal, who was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the first, had run scoring singles in the third and fourth as the Lancers led 9-0 after four innings. Johnson also singled and scored in both the third and fourth and had two stolen bases.
Since March 31, Johnson 12-for-26 with seven runs and nine RBI.
In his first start in 18 appearances this season, Smith (5-0) allowed just four hits and one walk while striking out six in his longest outing of the season. He only allowed three runners to reach second base. His ERA in now just 1.89.
Travis Barnes worked 2.2 innings, striking out four. He gave up all three of his hits and lone run in the eighth. Travis Bender tossed a scoreless ninth.
Five different Lancers had at least two hits. Douglass, Brian Sharp and Josh Manzano all had two hits apiece. Manzano also doubled and scored in the third.
Senior Cory Klein picked up his first career hit with an infield single in the ninth.
