CBU dropped five strokes after its opening round 343, shooting a 338 on Tuesday to finish at 681. The Lancers had been tied for 10th with tournament host Point Loma Nazarene after the first 18 holes of play.
Nathalie Silva again led the way for the Lancers, finishing with a 161 (81-80). Silva finished tied for fifth in the 104 player field. It was Silva's third Top 5 finish this season.
"Nathalie played pretty well on a very tough golf course," said Head Coach Lane Pace. "Still, overall our scores need to be better and the girls know that. We have some work to do, but I'm confident we'll get to where we need to be."
Nicollette Gino finished tied for 24th in the field with a 168 (83-85) for the Lancers. After a tough opening round, Kirsten Keyser finished at 175 (90-85) and Samantha Peters finished at 177 (89-88). Samantha Roberts finished with a score of 182 (92-90).
Cal Poly finished off its wire-to-wire victory, running away with the tournament by 24 strokes, shooting 634 (321-313). Cal Poly's Laura Howard won the individual title, shooting 156 (81-75) to edge out teammate Asia Adell (156, 79-77) in a playoff.
