Tim Tait took the honors for the men and Nicollette Gino was awarded for the women.
Tait, a senior golfer for CBU, was the only player to shoot par or better in each round at the NCCAA National Championship in Panama City, Fla. His rounds of 72-72-71 were good for a second place finish and anchored his team's 14-shot victory to end up NCCAA National Champions.
Gino made her mark as a freshman playing in just her third collegiate tournament, winning the individual title at the NCCAA National Championship. The Lancer rookie shot 152 (75-77), helping her team to a second place finish at the championship.
It was also the second week in a row that the CBU men won their event and had an individual finish second (Tait both times), and the women finished second as a team and had an individual winner. It was Tait's second such award this season after his consecutive Top 2 finishes and it was Gino's first award after Nathalie Silva took the honor last week.
