RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) released its Golfers of the Week Thursday and California Baptist University swept both the men's and women's awards.
Tim Tait took home the honor on the men's side and Nathalie Silva for the women. Both players were honored for their play Oct. 17-23, when the Lancers where at the CMS Coed Invitational.
Tait finished third at the event and helped lead CBU to its first team win of the season. The CBU senior shot 214 (69-74-71), a personal best. Tait continued his hot play this week, finishing second at the NCCAA Championship which the Lancers also won.
Silva won the CMS Invitational with a score of 151 (74-77), helping the Lancers finish second. Silva has placed in the Top 10 in each of the Lancers first three tournaments this season, including a seventh place finish this week at the NCCAA Championship.
