The Association honors student athletes who have at least a 3.2 GPA with the award, breaking them into three categories; outstanding (4.00-3.71), superior (3.70-3.41) and excellent (3.40-3.20).
CBU's Scott Burbach was the only Lancer to earn outstanding status. Burbach is in his first season with the program, coming to CBU as a freshman from Capo Valley HS in Mission Viejo, Calif.
Five Lancers earned superior status, with Chris Vanjoff, Chris Toy, Brandon Duck, Jeremy Atkinson and Jake Jizmejian taking home the honor.
Toy was second this season with 55 goals on the team and Atkinson posted 14 goals and 19 assists. Vanjoff and Duck are both juniors and tallied four and one goals respectively. Jizmejian, a freshman from Fresno posted two goals and two steals.
Keith Jizmejian, Trevor Rowland, Danny Mundy and David Rodriguez all earned excellent status. Rowland scored 20 goals and Mundy posted 10, while Rodriguez and Jizmejian scored eight and four.
The ACWPC honors collegiate water polo athletes from all levels with the award.
