CBU diver Trevor Graifman, swimmer Chris Toy and golfer Steven Watson were all named to the District 8 NCAA Division II Men's Academic All-District team for their accomplishment both in competition and in the classroom. On the women's side Mary Hanson was the lone Lancer to take home the honor.

Hanson was the only sophomore on the 12 player Division II team, posting the second highest GPA of any student athlete honored with a 3.93. Hanson, an engineering major from Ridgecrest, Calif., had another brilliant season in the pool, taking second in both the 100 yard backstroke and 100 yard freestyle at the PCSC Championships.

Graifman, a senior biology major out of Antioch, Calif., had a 3.87 GPA this year, earning the third highest academic average of any athlete on the 10 player D-II team. Graifman closed out an all-time great career in the pool this season, earning PCSC Diver of the Year honors after winning the one-meter and finishing fourth in the three-meter events at the PCSC Championships.

A Burnaby, B.C. native, Toy also won an individual title at the PCSC Championships this season, taking home the 100 yard title. A senior accounting major, Toy compiled a 3.54 GPA this past year.

Watson, a junior from San Diego, posted a 3.39 GPA this year as a business administration major. Watson became the first CBU men's golfer to win multiple tournaments this season, including an individual championship at the PacWest Tournament. Watson also won the Smee Builders Invitational in Jamul, Calif. and compiled a 74.03 scoring average on the year.

The Men's and Women's At-Large teams were comprised of players from swimming and diving, men's volleyball, women's water polo, and men's and women's golf. Student athletes must have at least a 3.30 GPA to qualify.
