RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Blair Penner and Levi Cabral were tabbed as the NAIA’s Setter and Player of the Week Monday, after knocking off (NCAA Division I) UC Santa Barbara last Thursday.

Penner and Cabral led the Lancers to a dominating 3-0 sweep of the Gauchos, to move No. 1 California Baptist University to 20-5 on the season and extend the Lancers’ 11-match winning streak.

Cabral averaged 3.67 kills per game against UCSB and had a hitting percentage of .667. He also averaged 1.67 digs per set.

Penner had a monster match for the Lancers, averaging 13 assists per set and has now won the award three times this season. The weekly honor follows the Lancers’ senior setter becoming the program’s all-time assist leader against Stanford the week before.
