RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its 2012 NCAA Division II All-Region teams and California Baptist University's Emma Holden and Mara Rodriguez were named to the West Region's Second Team.
Holden, who was also named PacWest Pitcher of the Year, has a 1.63 ERA and 24-4 record this season. She has struck out 283 batters and currently sits just 10 shy of reaching 1000 for her career. Holden allowed just a .175 opponent batting average and gave up 43 earned runs in her 31 appearances.
Rodriguez, a junior third baseman, was also named the All-PacWest First Team this year prior to this NFCA honor. Rodriguez led the team with a .410 batting average, hitting 13 homers and driving in 47 runs. She also scored a team-high 44 runs and has the best slugging percentage of any Lancer at .776.
CBU was the only PacWest team to have multiple players honored and no team from the conference placed any players on the first team.
