Rick York is beginning his 17th year at California Baptist University and his ninth in Athletics. He is currently the director of athletic academic services.

York began working in campus ministries as the athletic chaplain in the fall of 1996. In 2003, he moved to athletics and took on the roles of director of compliance and eligibility. From 2006-2008, York also served as the department’s academic advisor.

Prior to coming to CBU, York was in the real estate business for seven years.

York earned his bachelor’s in economics from Cal State San Bernardino in 1984. He attended California Baptist College in 1973-74.

York and his wife, Chris, a 1975 graduate of CBC, have been married 38 years. They have two kids, Brian and Lacie, a 2003 graduate of CBU, and four grandkids. The Yorks reside in Highland.
