Prior to coming to CBU, Pfau worked as an athletic trainer at UCLA, covering the Bruins' softball team and supervising students in the Sports Medicine Internship Program this past season. Pfau also worked for St. Joseph's Hospital of Orange, working specifically with the cast members in the entertainment and operations departments at Disneyland.

Pfau earned her master's in physical education in 2011from Azusa Pacific, where she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer covering acrobatics and tumbling, along with the aquatics programs. Pfau also assisted with football, men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's track and field, as well as teaching as a clinical instructor for the Athletic Training Education Program at APU.

Pfau served as an athletic trainer at Western Christian High School following her time at APU.

She graduated from Liberty in Lynchburg, Va., with a bachelor's in athletic training in 2008, gaining NCAA Division I experience assisting with softball, football, women's soccer, men's soccer and women's basketball.
