ROANOKE, Va. --- California Baptist University kicked off its NCCAA National Title run by donating their time and talents to the City Mission in Roanoke, Va.
Before seeing a single pitch at the national tournament, the Lancers helped with a renovation project at City Mission's Campbell House in southeast Roanoke, gutting the bathroom, kitchen and living room, helping with the landscaping and even knocking down a few walls.
The Lancers teamed up with Judson and North Greenville on the project. Check out a post on the City Mission website about the project and also a photo album of the Lancers at work in the quick links box.
The City Mission is dedicated to the "holistic renovation of Roanoke" using relationships, community development, education, and evangelism. This movement is currently focused in Southeast Roanoke with hopes of seeing new expressions started all over the city.
