DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. --- California Baptist University got off to a great start at the NCA Collegiate Nationals taking second in the preliminary round Thursday afternoon.

The Lancers recorded a 9.278, but after a small deduction the final score was a 9.128. The University of Central Oklahoma finished first and recorded the highest score of the day with a 9.340. Lindenwood University and Grand Valley State University both scored an 8.828 and are tied for third.

Southern New Hampshire, Lewis University, and the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown did not make the finals.

The top four teams will be competing tomorrow afternoon April 13, in the All-Girls II finals.
