PRIMM, Nev. --- The NAIA’s No. 3-ranked California Baptist University finished its opening round with a 310 and is currently tied for second heading into the final round at its own 2010 Spring Break Collegiate, played at Primm Valley Golf Club.
The nine-team field features seven nationally-ranked programs, all of them in the top 16.
No. 10 British Columbia shot a 302 and leads CBU and No. 8 Concordia by eight strokes. Unranked Cal State San Marcos is fourth with a 315, and No. 9 Lubbock Christian is fifth with a 321.
All-American Adriana Niclotii shot a 76 to lead CBU, which puts her in fifth place. Nathalie Silva, Fredrika Winqvist and Samantha Katz all shot 78 and are all tied for 12th place heading into tomorrow’s final round. Sarah Koizumi carded an 85.
