Built in 1997, the Fitness Center is an integral piece to the CBU athletic facilities.
The Fitness Center is fully equipped with weights and fitness machines. It is open to all CBU students, faculty, staff and alumni during the designated hours. A valid CBU ID is required.

Monday-Thursday -- 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday -- 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday -- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday -- Closed
Monday-Friday -- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fitness Center Use Policies STAFF SUPERVISION CBU students provide primary supervision for the facility and may or may not be CPR certified. All staff act with the full authority of the Fitness Center Director. Harassment or disregard of the directions provided by the staff will result in immediate removal from the facility and may result in additional disciplinary action.
All current CBU students, faculty, staff and alumni are eligible to use the CBU Fitness Center. Please present a valid CBU ID to enter and use the facilities.
EQUIPMENT USAGE • We recommend lifting with a partner whose strength is similar to yours. If you are without a partner, please avoid lifting weights over or above the body. • No Olympic lifting is allowed. • Fitness Center Staff are not permitted to spot patrons. • Share equipment and allow others to use your machine when doing multiple sets. • DO NOT DROP WEIGHTS. DO NOT ALLOW MACHINE PLATES TO SLAM DOWN. Perform controlled reps only, or you will be asked to leave. • Please report equipment failures to the staff on duty. • Weight collars, pins, clips and machine safety hooks MUST be used. • Re-rack all weights/plates to their designated storage areas. • Benches must be kept out of the walkway. Decline bench & Preacher Curl may not be moved. • No weight lifting chalk is permitted. • There is a 30 minute time limit on individual cardiovascular machines during busy times.
DRESS CODE We strictly enforce our dress code to prevent disease transmission. Anyone not following the dress code will be asked to leave --- no exceptions! Only unaltered t-shirts and sleeveless shirts which cover the entire stomach, chest and back (NO tank tops or sports bra tops) are allowed. Sweats, modest shorts and similar items are considered appropriate attire. Athletic shoes must be worn at all times. No earrings bigger than the size of a quarter may be worn and necklaces must remain underneath your t-shirt. Sandals, flip flops, boots, jeans, and any pants with buttons or hardware (zippers/rivets) are prohibited. Anyone in violation of our dress code policy will be asked to leave. Repeat offenders may lose all membership privileges.
TOWELS Please use a workout towel to keep yourself more comfortable and control excess perspiration. Disinfectant cleaning solution and paper towels are provided. Please clean up any perspiration you may leave on any machine another student may touch. Your fellow students will appreciate it!
FOOD AND DRINK PLEASE no food or drink (other than water) in the Fitness Center. If you do bring your own water, use a sport bottle or similar spill proof container.
