RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Alex Anderson became the first California Baptist University men’s soccer player to be named to both the Daktronics and National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire All-West Region teams.

Anderson, who was named the PacWest Player of the Year, found a spot on the Daktronics second team and NSCAA/Continental Tire third team.

The senior forward helped the Lancers finish 10-6-1 and make their first appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament. Anderson finished the year with nine goals, three of which were game-winners, and seven assists to lead the team with 25 points.

Anderson becomes the first all-region award winner in program history, with CBU in its first full year as a member of the NCAA after transitioning from the NAIA the past two seasons.

Daktronics All-West Region honors are voted on by NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors while the NSCAA/Continental Tire team is picked by Division II coaches.
