RIVERSIDE --- The PacWest Media Office released its 2013 Women’s Volleyball Predicted Order of Finish and Preseason All-PacWest Team, tabbing California Baptist University to finish third overall and honoring one Lancer on the seven player all-conference team.

After finishing third the last two seasons, the Lancers tallied 145 points in the preseason poll and received one first place vote. Defending champs BYU-Hawaii (161 points) were picked to repeat and Fresno Pacific (154 points) was tabbed second. The Seasiders had nine first place votes and FPU had three.

CBU’s Malika O'Brien was honored on the Preseason All-PacWest Team. The sophomore middle blocker was named All-PacWest second team last season after posting a conference best 1.48 blocks per set and 222 kills.

CBU finished last season 19-8 overall and 12-4 in conference. The Lancers return five starters from last year’s squad along with sophomore Jelena Dragovic coming off of a redshirt season and five standout recruits.
