RIVERSIDE --- California Baptist University Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach Ben Gall has released the Lancers’ 2013 schedule as CBU gets set for its first season of NCAA postseason eligibility.

The Lancers’ slate includes six regular season meets before postseason begins in November with the PacWest Championships Nov. 2, The NCAA West Regional Nov. 9 and the NCAA National Championships Nov. 23.

“I am very excited about our schedule this fall,” said Gall. “I believe it will provide our team the level of competition we need to defend our PacWest men's title and, hopefully, take back the women's title. It will also help us to be prepared for the NCAA regional meet and our first opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Championships by allowing us to see the course we will compete on, as well as face many of the top Division II teams we will have to defeat if we want to qualify.”

CBU will stay local early in the season, hosting the Lancer Invitational on Sept. 7 and then running in the UC Riverside Invitational the following week. The Lancers will then head north to Spokane, Wash. for the Erik Anderson Invitational, an NCAA West Regional and National preview meet held on the same course that both postseason races will be run on in November.

CBU also will run meets at UC San Diego, Santa Clara and Biola in October.
