POMONA, Calif. --- Jessica Reeder was the big story this weekend for the CBU Track team. Reeder won her heat of the 400m hurdles and clocked an outstanding time of (1:06.16). The time happened to be a new CBU school record and is the fifth best time in the PacWest this season.
Lexie Vukov (2:15.92) and Nataile Ball (2:15.52), both ran strong in the women’s 800m run for the Lancers. Malaysia Alexander (2:20.46) and Megan Smedley (2:26.72) rounded out the scoring for lady Lancers in the 800m.
Another notable run was Jacqueline Anderson’s impressive 400m dash. Anderson posted a time of (63.26) for CBU.
Naomi Van Setten finished the 1500m run with a time of 4:46.22 for the Lancers.
Chase Williams finished second overall in the 800m run and posted a new personal record with a time of 1:51.76.
Lucas Graham (1:53.72), Julian Hernandez (1:58.49) and Dominic Sabido (2:01.92), also posted personal records in the 800m run for the Lancer men.
Mitchell Moore (15:06.59) and Victor Delgado (15:09.42), both finished 13th and 14th in the 5000m run for CBU, defeating 57 other runners. Mark Langworthy finished in 18th place and posted a respectable time of 15:23.49 for the Lancers.
Miles Sustayta finished off the day when he finished the 1500m run with a time of 4:29.07.
“The team did a great job competing today and they continue to improve,” Said CBU Head Coach Ben Gall. “This was a weekend for people to move away from their primary events and try something different.”
“We’re very excited about where the team is right now as we gear up for the championship season,” said Gall.
CBU competes once again next weekend at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif.
