JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Playing in back to back tournaments in Jacksonville, Fla., the Lancers opened the Bulldog Florida Invitational in fourth place after one round of play Wednesday.
Nicollette Gino led the Lancers as she has the past three rounds, shooting an 84 to sit alone in 10th place individually.
CBU posted a 361 to stay five shots ahead of Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne in the fifth spot.
Kirsten Keyser sits a stroke behind Gino after shooting an 85 to put her in a tie for 11th. There were just three scores in the 70's during the first day, none lower than a 77.
Samantha Peters and Kayla Jech rounded out the counting scores for CBU, each posting a 96.
Tournament host Butler leads the field with a 323 and Alabama State sits 10 strokes back in second place.
The Lancers conclude their two-tournament Florida swing tomorrow with the final round of the Bulldog Invitational.
