JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- California Baptist University dropped 17 strokes on its day two score at the Benbow Invitational, but couldn't move out of ninth place.
The Lancers shot a 337 after posting a 354 on day one to finish at 691 and hold fast at ninth in the field.
Nicollette Gino led CBU with a 167 (85-82) finishing 23rd overall individually. Katherine Pimpanit also finished in the top 30, tied for 28th shooting a 170 (86-84).
Kirsten Keyser posted the second lowest score of the day with an 83 in the final round to finish at 179 (96-83). Samantha Peters shot a 180 (87-93) and Kayla Jech shot a 185 (97-88).
IUPUI won the event with a 637 and Cleveland State and Appalachian State tied for second at 645. Appalachian State's Rumbidzai Masamvu won the event with a 155.
The Lancers stay in Florida to compete in the Bulldog Invitational starting tomorrow.
