The second round was suspended due to darkness after 13 holes of play.
The Lancers fired an even 300 on the day, led by a pair of 74's from Chris Rabbich and Micah Machado. CBU is currently tied with Cal State Monterey Bay for fifth and seven strokes back of Dixie State and Redlands for third.
"We're in a pretty good spot after today," said CBU Head Coach Lane Pace. "It was tough because the pace of play was pretty slow today, but there's still a lot of golf left to play and we're near the top of a pretty good field. That's what you want."
Glenn Hakes and Neil Hand each shot 76 on the day to round out the counting scores for the Lancers. Rabbich and Machado are currently tied for 17th individually.
Tournament host Cal State San Bernardino currently leads the 15 team field after firing a 283 on day one. Cal State Stanislaus sits in second at 289.
