The Silverswords, who have won 12 of their last 13 games to stay within one game of Dixie State for the PacWest title, improve to 15-8, 12-3.
Chaminade led wire-to-wire and jumped out to an early 18-7 lead, keyed by two 3-pointers from Waly Coulibaly and then used a 7-0 run to open a 27-14 lead. The Lancers, though, responded with a 14-2 run to get within one (29-28) with five minutes left in the half.
The Silverswords, who launched 27 3-pointers in the game, closed the half with a 14-2 run of their own to take a 43-30 lead into the locker room.
De'Andre Haskins led Chaminade with 22 points. He had 14 in the first half. Dominique Cooks had 15 points. The two of them combined to go 10 for 14 for 28 points in the first half.
Back-to-back 3-pointers by Bennie Murray and Coulibaly gave Chaminade a 51-38 lead when the Lancers began to respond. They rattled off five straight to get within 59-53 with 8:47 to play and then a 3-pointer from Anthony Cosentino followed by an Andrew Fisk layup in transition made it 69-64 with 4:03 left. Luke Evans made a pair of free throws to make it 69-66 with 3:34 left, but a costly turnover kickstarted a 10-2 run that put the game away.
Evans finished with 10 points, eight of them from the free throw line. Anthony Romero chipped in with seven points off the bench.
