The Lancers fired a 330 in round two of the Super San Diego Championships to finish at 668 (338-330). CBU finished 13th in the 20 team field.
"We dropped a few more strokes today and that's what you want to see, improvement," said CBU Head Coach Lane Pace. "We found a little more consistency today and that's what we wanted to work on. We just need to keep improving and playing good consistent golf."
After shooting an opening round 86, Kirsten Keyser posted a 79 on Tuesday to lead the Lancers. Her 165 finishes tied for 33rd in the 100 player field.
Nicollette Gino led CBU overall finishing tied for 21st with a 162 (80-82). Katherine Pimpanit posted a 166 (85-81) after dropping four strokes in the final round and Samantha Peters shot 175 (87-88) to round out the scores for the Lancers.
"Kirsten shot closer to where we expect her to be consistently," said Pace. "We need those kinds of rounds out of her this year."
Cal State San Marcos leap-frogged both Grand Canyon and Sonoma State to win the tournament with a 626 (316-310). Grand Canyon (632) finished second and Sonoma State (635) finished third.
The Lancers have a two week break before hosting the Victoria Club Intercollegiate Feb. 25-26.
