SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. --- California Baptist University's Anthony Romero has been named Pacific West Conference Men's Basketball Player late Friday.
Romero was selected by the conference office for games played Jan. 28-Feb. 3.
The junior transfer led CBU to a 3-0 week with wins over Holy Names, Notre Dame de Namur and Academy of Art. He averaged 18.7 points, 3.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.
Besides making all six of his free throws, Romero was 70.4 percent (19 for 27) from the floor and 70.6 percent (12 for 17) from beyond the arc, combining to miss just eight of 50 shots over the course of the three games.
