Both the Predicted Order of Finish and Preseason Team were voted on by head coaches around the league. McHann and Rodriguez were named to the All-PacWest Team last season.
Rodriguez, who was in the hunt for conference player of the year last season, was a first team all-conference selection in 2012. Through the conference season her .414 batting average was fourth in the PacWest and her .790 slugging percentage topped the list. Rodriguez had the second most runs scored (44), fourth most RBI (47), second most home runs (14) and the most total bases (124) of any player in the PacWest.
McHann posted a .335 batting average during the conference season with 34 RBI (ninth in the PacWest) and the sixth most homers in the PacWest with eight as a second team all-conference selection. She led all first basemen in both home runs and slugging percentage (.559) and was tied for the lead in runs scored (24).
CBU closed out last year with a conference record of 26-4 to win the PacWest in the school's first season in the conference. CBU out-paced a red-hot Dixie State to the finish line, winning 17 straight conference games to close the regular season.
The Lancers received six of the 12 first place votes in the poll and had 133 points, edging out Dixie State and Grand Canyon who had 127 a piece.
CBU opens the season Wednesday, Feb. 6 at home against Humboldt State and then opens the conference season at home Feb. 22 against Notre Dame de Namur.
