Ramer, Gleason Named to Top Team

ANN ARBOR, Mich. --- The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced its annual All-American teams on Tuesday. Two Lancers, Austen Ramer and Scott Gleason, were named to the NCAA DII first team.

Ramer lit up the record books in 2012, setting five program records. He is the career leader in saves (1,129), games with 10 or more saves (41), assists (152), steals (412) and multi-steal games (71).

In 2012, he led CBU to a 17-12 record, and picked up 274 saves, 118 steals and 26 assists.

Gleason, now a two-time All-American, led the Lancers in goals (67) and was second in assists (24) and steals (32). In 2011, he was named to the ACWPC All-American first team with Chris Toy.

Gleason also appears frequently in the CBU record books. He is fourth in career goals (195), fifth in multi-goal games (52) and is also on the list for assists, steals and games with a goal, steal and assist.

2012 is the second straight season in which two Lancers were honored with an All-American nod.

Fresno Pacific, Mercyhurst, Notre Dame College and UC San Diego also had representatives named to the team.
