The split moves CBU to 3-3 overall on the season.
CBU kept its string of five set matches going in the opener against Concordia, bookending Thursday's tough loss at No. 12 UC San Diego with another win.
Levi Cabral led the way for the Lancers with a match high 25 kills.
CBU had to battle all the way to get the victory over the first year program, splitting the first two games before getting a relatively comfortable 25-19 win in third.
Concordia would not go quietly, however, battling back from a four-point deficit to take a 29-27 win and force a deciding fifth game.
The final game was all Lancers as CBU took an 11-4 lead and cruised to the six point win in the clinching set. Cabral assisted on two blocks with Amir Lugo-Rodriguez and ripped a kill during a six-point run midway through the set to give CBU the commanding lead.
Guilherme Koepp posted 22 kills, and Aaron McCalmont notched a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs.
The Lancers never really got it going in the nightcap, playing in their 16th, 17th and 18th sets of the week.
Koepp led the team with 18 kills, Connor Metcalfe had 24 assists.
CBU was out-hit .397-.284 and out-blocked 11-4 in the match.
The Lancers held a 20-19 lead late in the second game, but couldn't hold on as Springfield scored three straight points to take a 22-20 lead, which they would hold for the win.
CBU gets back in action Jan. 29 when they resume conference play with Long Beach state coming into the Van Dyne Gym.
