Claremont Mudd Scrips defeated the CBU men, 118-93. In spite of the loss, Sergio Molina had an impressive swim in the 300 breast and clocked a time of 29.72, finishing first out of 10 swimmers.
Michael Perry finished first for CBU in the 50 free with a time of 21.39 and Joshua Hanson placed first for the Lancers in the 300 fly (3:02.70).
Nolan Brown stepped up and took first place for the Lancers in the 300 back, posting a time of 2:57.83.
Another notable time for the men was Derek Wedel's third place finish in the 300 fly (3:05.03).
The CBU women also fell short and lost to Claremont Mudd Scripps, 118-89.
Patricia Hapsari had a solid time of (3:21.47) in the 300 back, taking first for CBU and edging out five other swimmers. Hapsari also touched the wall first in the 300 IM and finished with a time of 3:25.56.
Kyndal Terwilliger finished second in the 300 fly and posted a time of 3:27.81, which was only two seconds shy of the first place finisher.
Hannah Evans also had a strong day, placing first for the Lancers in the 100 free (55.09) and the 50 free (24.85).
Hapsari, Terwilliger, Molly Larson and Hannah Stipek placed first in the 500 medley relay for CBU and finished with an impressive time of 5:24.14, which was six seconds ahead of the second place finishers.
CBU swims at home on Jan. 12 against Concordia and Fresno Pacific.
