GREENVILLE, S.C. --- California Baptist University cleaned house when the 2012 NCCAA DI end of the year awards were announced. Carlos Figueroa took home the big honor, he was named the national Player of the Year.
Pacheco was the starting goalkeeper for CBU, he appeared in 16 games and recorded six shutouts. He was also named the PacWest Goalkeeper of the Year and was a PacWest Player of the Week. He led the PacWest in save PCT and shutouts.
Schmit appeared in 22 games for the Lancers, starting 21 of them. He recorded four goals, two of them game winners, and four assists.
Anderson started in all of his 22 appearances for CBU. His nine goals led the team, he also set up five other goals for 23 total points. He was the Most Outstanding Player of the 2012 NCCAA national tournament.
Figueroa appeared and started in 20 games for the Lancers, accumulating one goal and one assist.
This is Figueroa's third career All-American award, he was an NAIA All-American in 2010 and was NCCAA All-America second team in 2011.
In addition to the end of the year awards, Figueroa, Anderson, Marc Hope and Rob White were each named to the NCCAA All-tournament team earlier this month. Hope was named the tournament's offensive MVP.
The Lancers won the NCCAA DI national championship and ended the year with a 16-5-2 record.
