The Lancers recently had five players named to the 2012 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Women's NCAA Division II West All-Region Team.
In all, 41 players from three conferences (PacWest, GNAC, CCAA) in the West region were named to the three teams. Just two other players from the PacWest were named, both of them earning third team.
Witz, who was named PacWest Player of the Year, finished the year with 14 goals and three assists. Her 14 goals and 41 points were second on the team. Meanwhile, Jenks led the team with 16 goals and 38 points (6 assists) and Paul was third with eight goals and 20 points (4 assists).
Laxamana appeared in all 21 games (19 starts) at center back for a Lancer defense that posted a 0.75 goals against average with 11 shutouts, while Gillis started 15 of her 16 games, splitting time between the midfield and defense.
CBU posted an 18-2-1 mark, matching the program record for wins in a season set last year. The Lancers repeated as NCCAA National Champions and PacWest Champions for the second year as well.
The NSCAA was founded in 1941 and is the world's largest soccer coaches' organization that serves members at every level of the game. CBU is in its third and final year of transition to NCAA Division II and is therefore still not eligible for official NCAA postseason awards. The NSCAA awards are not official NCAA awards, thus CBU is eligible.
