PHOENIX, Ariz. --- The PacWest Media Office released the first conference Player of the Week award Monday and California Baptist University's Jasmine Beverly took home the honor.
Beverly earned the award after leading the Lancers to a 2-0 start at the season opening Western Oregon Tournament. The honor included games played Nov. 9-11.
The senior forward averaged 15 points a game for the Lancers, including a 25 point, 13 rebound outburst in the team's second game of the season.
She also averaged 9.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game, ranking third in the conference in scoring, and second in rebounding and in thefts for the week. Her 52 percent shooting from the floor was also second best in the league.
Beverly currently leads the team in rebounding and is third in scoring this season. It was her first conference player of the week award of her career.
