RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- With the regional seedings released this week California Baptist University will host an opening round game against Azusa Pacific on its quest to get back to the NCCAA National Tournament.

The Lancers must defeat Azusa Pacific on Thur. Nov. 15 for the opportunity to play at Fresno Pacific Saturday, Nov. 17. If CBU can win both of those games, they will be heading into the national tournament for the second straight year.

CBU won the NCCAA title last year

The Lancers have dropped five out of their last seven matches in the past three weeks, but this past Saturday, CBU convincingly crushed Azusa Pacific in three straight sets. The Lancers dropped a hard fought four set match to Fresno Pacific the night before.

CBU finishes up the regular season schedule with two matches at home. The first is against Dominican on Nov. 8, and the second is against Holy Names on Nov.10.

CBU is currently 17-7 overall and 10-4 in conference play.

A live audio/video stream of the Lancers' match against Azusa Pacific will be available here.
