The women's team finished in fourth out of eight teams today and was led by Raizah Singh. Singh had a season best 5K time of 19:41 and placed 21st overall out of 64 runners. CBU had a team score of 113.
Hanna Ingulsrud finished 24th and came in second for CBU with a time of 20:03.7. Alexandra Vukov placed 25th and was right behind Ingulsrud with a time of 20:14.8.
Kim Carter finished 28th and placed fourth for the Lancers with a time of 20:31.1 and Megan Smedley rounded out the CBU top five with a time of 20:53.2.
The Lancer women showed consistency and teamwork considering only 50 seconds separated the second place finisher, Hanna Ingulsrud, and the fifth place finisher, Megan Smedley.
Biola won the meet with a team score of 37.
The men finished in fifth out of seven teams and were led by Julian Hernandez. The Lancers finished with a team score of 116.
Hernandez finished 15th overall out of 60 runners. Hernandez also had a personal best 8K time of 26:45.9.
Chase Williams placed 19th overall and came in second for CBU, finishing just a hair behind Hernandez with a respectable time of 26:54.6
Miles Sustayata showed major improvements today by posting a time of 27:08, which was also a personal record.
Bryan Curtis posted a time of 27:47.7 and Zach Beimford capped off the CBU top five with a time of 28:18.8.
The Master's won the meet with a team score of 26.
"Overall I thought the guys we had run today ran the best race of the season," said CBU Head Coach Ben Gall.
CBU now prepares for the PacWest Championships on Oct. 27 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
