RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- California Baptist University's Mitchell Moore fell 17 votes short of the semis in The Press-Enterprise Performer of the Year poll on Friday.
Moore was the third of three Lancers nominated in the bracket style poll which features athletes from local colleges who have been nominated for weekly top performer polls throughout the year. CBU's Emma Holden, last year's winner, advanced to the semifinals earlier in the week.
Moore, a junior from Whittier, Calif., was a first-team All-PacWest selection and an NCCAA All-American, earning conference runner of the week twice during the season and helping CBU to the men's conference title in its first PacWest season. Moore's season best 8K was 24:34.01 at the UCR Invitational, and he's fifth on Cal Baptist's all-time list.
