RIVERSIDE --- Kelly Jenks and Bernadette Witz both scored twice, and defending Pacific West Conference Champion California Baptist University steamrolled UH-Hilo Saturday for a 6-0 win over the Vulcans.

The win puts the Lancers back into the win column as they improve to 4-2-1 overall, 4-1-0 (12 points) PacWest, while the Vulcans fall to 3-7-0, 1-6-0 (3 points).

Coming off their first PacWest loss and first shutout of the year, a 3-0 setback at Point Loma this past Tuesday, the Lancers scored early and often in this one. By the time the dust settled, the Lancers extended their streak to 42 straight games without losing back-to-back games, dating back to Oct. 2, 2010.

"The girls worked hard the last couple days and this was a much more complete performance on both sides of the ball," said Head Coach Kristen St. Clair. "It was a good step forward, because we were able to establish the rhythm and flow right away."

Jenks scored in the 11th and 41st minute to give the Lancers a 2-0 lead.

Kimberly Allard added a goal and an assist. Eva Solis, Daelyn Paul and Lauren Wallberg all had two assists.

The Lancers took a season-high 30 shots, putting half of them on frame. The Vulcans took three as Rosie Nakata and Leigh Ann Lindsey each made a save to give the Lancers their second shutout of the year.

Leading 2-0 at the intermission, the Lancers exploded for three goals in a 15-minute span early in the second half. Allard converted a cross from Solis, who took a perfectly place ball from Paul.

Witz then scored in the 58th and 67th minutes to give the Lancers a 5-0 lead. Natosha Yanes scored her first career goal in the 88th minute when she took a pass from Paul and dribbled around Vulcan keeper Breegan Saller, who also made nine saves.

"I thought we moved the ball well today and our finishing was better," said St. Clair. "The girls were committed to working hard off the ball, which set up our opportunities and each line did a good job getting involved in the attack."
