TURLOCK, Calif. --- California Baptist University jumped up two spots on the leader board moving to 14th out of the 20-team field at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational.

The Lancers finished the tournament with a 911 (298-312-301).

"I was glad to see improvements on the day," said Head Coach Lane Pace. "There are still adjustments that need to be made, but I think we can take away a lot of positives from this tournament. "

Fredrik Hansson again led the way for CBU shooting a 225 (74-75-76). Steven Watson shot a 227 (76-77-74). Micah Machado shot a 228 (77-78-73) and Leonard Rooney finished with a 232 (71-82-79). Tim Tait posted a 238 (78-82-78).

No. 4 Cal State Stanislaus won the tournament with a 23-stroke margin setting a new tournament record with a -19 under par 845 score. No. 7 Western Washington took second with an (868) and No. 5 Chico State finished third with an (872).

"Our main focus will turn to next week when we travel to Kona, Hawaii," said Pace. "The conference tournament is what we have been waiting for.  If we can put together a couple of solid rounds we can really make a run at it."

The Lancers were three strokes behind Notre Dame de Namur who finished 13th. Trevor Blair of Cal State Stanislaus won the tournament with a -7 under 209.

The Lancers will compete in the PacWest Conference Championships next Monday the 23rd and Tuesday the 24th.
