SEASIDE, Calif. --- Nathalie Silva played her way into the Top 10 at the Cal State Monterey Bay Otter Invitational on day one and the Lancers sit in eighth place.
Silva shot 153 (76-77) in the opening two rounds, currently tied with Heather Fegley for ninth place. Silva is just three strokes off the lead.
CBU posted a 653 on the first day of play, opening with a 324 and then shooting a 329 in the afternoon.
Kirsten Keyser shot 165 (80-85) for the Lancers, sitting tied for 27th currently. Nicollette Gino posted a 167 (84-83) and Samantha Roberts shot 168 (84-84) to round out the scoring for CBU.
No. 7 Grand Canyon sits in first place after the first 36 holes with a 311 (304-307) and host No. 24 CSUMB is in second place at 618 (308-310).
Courtney Soekland of CSUMB and Lyra Yoe are tied for the tournament lead at a six over 150.
The final round begins tomorrow at 8 a.m.
