SAN DIEGO, Calif. --- California Baptist University opened its spring season Monday and after one day of play at the Super San Diego Championships the Lancers sit in 10th.
CBU was led by Nathalie Silva who shot an opening round 81. Silva is currently tied for ninth individually.
The Lancers carded a 343 to sit tied with tournament host Point Loma Nazarene in the 22 team field.
After Silva's 81, Nicollette Gino shot 83 and Samantha Peters shot 89. Gino is tied for 21st. Kirsten Keyser shot 90 and Samantha Roberts shot 92 to round out the scores for the Lancers.
Cal Poly sits in first place heading into the final round with a score of 321. The Lancers are 13 strokes out of fifth place.
